Our Ambition

What we know matters and why

What matters?Why?
I feel safe in my communityLiving in an area where crime rates are low and the fear of crime is low enables me to feel safe to go outside and access my community.
I have local spaces where I can meet and connect with other peopleReducing social isolation helps my physical health and my wellbeing.

Maximising local community assets provides me with choices and opportunities to mix, make new friendships, and find mutual support.

Access to faith settings means I can express my spirituality and access friendship and support from my community.
I have opportunities to volunteer and work in my communityWorking or volunteering locally means I can contribute to my community economically, and I can represent my community in my workplace.
I can give and receive kindnessActs of kindness benefit those who give and receive, and encourage a more caring and compassionate society.

How will things be different in Suffolk and North East Essex

We will work together to co-produce create safer neighbourhoods, by reducing crimes and anti-social behaviours and supporting the most vulnerable to access their communities. We will promote opportunities to gain work and volunteering opportunities locally, supporting with access to key worker housing where available, and ways to reduce the cost of living and working.
We will invest in maintaining and developing community assets that meet the diverse needs of communities in places and communities of shared identity. We will encourage acts of kindness between people, and developing mutual understanding between people of different backgrounds, faiths and identity.
