Suffolk & North East Essex Integrated Care System

Black History Month October 2021

To mark Black History Month October 2021 the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) is celebrating the historical achievements and contributions of black people of African and Caribbean descent to the health and well-being of people in our local communities.

Throughout the month of October we’ll share the stories of these fascinating individuals and their work.

All profiles were written by Annie Grey, an East Suffolk native, and a graduate of the University of East Anglia where she studied a BA in History and a MA in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies. She is passionate about ensuring stories are shared, and looks to do this throughout her work.
