Suffolk & North East Essex Integrated Care System

ICS Partnership Board

As proposed in the NHS Long Term Plan (2019), the ICS has “a partnership board, drawn from and representing commissioners, trusts, primary care, local authorities, the voluntary and community sector and other partners.”

The structure, membership and terms of reference for the ICS Partnership Board reflect the principles of how we will work as an ICS, and the relationships between the ICS and Health and Wellbeing Boards, between the ICS and regulators, and our three Alliances. The Terms of Reference for the ICS Partnership Board specify a range of specific ICS infrastructure groups reporting to the ICS Partnership Board, that will support cross-system working.

The ICS Independent Chair has a key leadership role in the ICS, working across all partners, sectors and the three Alliances to ensure that our vision is realised and continues to evolve. The ICS Chairs Group ensures “appropriate arrangements for involving non-executive members of boards/ governing bodies” as required in the NHS Long Term Plan. The ICS Partnership Board is supported by the ICS Central Team.
