An Outcome Based Approaches to Integrated Health and Care is an online training course delivered by the ICS Central Team. This course introduces attendees to the need to ‘start with why?’, the basics of outcome based approaches including the importance of language and turning the curve and how outcome based approaches have been used in our ICS and across the UK.
The programme includes interactive exercises and an opportunity to look at outcome based working based on one of two case study examples. The programme is delivered using a variety of online platforms and includes short comfort break half way through.
Places are free of charge and the course is delivered over a 2.5 hour session.

Feedback from previous course participants
‘Very informative and delivered in an informal approach to make learning more user friendly! I now feel that I understand OBA and will be able to apply it within my work programmes. Thank you’
‘Very helpful to learn about this subject in more detail, thank you, relaxed and informative and clear which enabled good discussion. The pictures work well as illustrations too’
‘Really well delivered, great use of the MS Teams and breakout groups. The session has highlighted the importance of ensuring stakeholder mapping is detailed and should explore much wider than perhaps I have done in the past.’
This was an excellent morning, with a varied use of media e.g. sli.do, video, powerpoint, templates, break out sessions
Have already put learning from the course into action which is testament to the effectiveness of the training. If an overview of OBA isn’t included in the staff induction programme, I’d encourage it to be added. Thank-you!
Really well delivered course. would recommend. made me want to delve deeper into OBA. materials have given me something i can use straight away – it doesn’t get any more useful than that!!!! thank you
Really great course, to support how we can look at and develop our future development, challenged my way of thinking through the development we are doing
